Licensed Family Child Care programs are regulated by the Department of Early Education and Care, DEEC.
They have recently released a new online training program that is required for all FCC providers: Strong Start. It is part of the Massachusetts' StrongStart Quality Early Education and Care initiative.
The current course, EEC Essentials, that all FCC providers must complete by September 30, 2019 includes:
Introduction to Child Growth & Development
Child Abuse and Neglect
Emergency Response
Food Related Risk and Response
Hazardous Materials
Infectious Diseases and Immunizations
Introduction to First Aid and CPR
Transporting Children
Shaken Baby Syndrome
Safe Sleeping Practices
Physical Premises Safety
Medication Administration
