Gfc participated in the Scarecrow Festival hosted by the Chelmsford Open Space Sterwardship.
The children learned what a scarecrow is through stories, songs, and felt board activities. Then we discussed what a scarecrow needs: a face, shiny things, and to be stuffed with hay. Then we thought of things we like to figure out what kind of scarecrow we wanted to make.
We landed on this fun song by the Laurie Berkner Band: the Goldfish.
Parents donated items (thank you!!! 🩷🩷🩷), I collected some things, then we got to building!
